Reflections on the Conclusion of CRSA 2017

"Reflections on the Conclusion of CRSA 2017: A Journey Across Karakoram's Canvas"

As the sun dipped below the towering peaks of the High Karakoram, I found myself standing in a place I had suggested to meet 65 friends, not in the midst of human habitat but amidst the untouched beauty of nature. The Karakoram walls, silent witnesses to our journey, stood guard, ensuring our conversations remained our own, and the river, louder than any whisper, held our shared memories.

The echoes of 25 days, spanning thousands of miles, resonated in my mind. Sixteen locations, 20 displays, art workshops, hundreds of artists, and the embrace of thousands of art appreciators marked the vibrant canvas of the 2017 Pakistan 1st road show – #CarbonRoadsideArts #CarbonInGilGit.

With a heavy heart, on the 16th of November 2017, the curtains fell on this transformative journey. It was not just an exhibition; it was a mosaic of love, memories, and the shared appreciation of art that connected us all.

To my dear family and friends, and especially to the warm-hearted souls of Gilgit, I extend my deepest gratitude. The success of this road show would not have been possible without the support and hospitality of the remarkable places and institutions we encountered along the way.

A heartfelt thank you to Sivana, GCCE (Gilgit College of Commerce and Economics), FJDCG, KIU Gilgit Campus, Education Ministry GB, Air Forces Naltar, APS Naltar, PLP Trust Naltar, OshoThang of Syed Israr Shah, Minapin, MiaChar, Phakar, Ganish, Nagar, Hooper, USWA Schools, Altit Council, Old Hunza Inn, and KIU Hunza Campus.

Special appreciation goes to the district administrations: AC Hunza, AC Nagar, and AC Dinyor. Your valuable time and attentive ears were crucial in making this road show a success. Thank you for listening to the stories we brought from every corner of Pakistan.

As we close this chapter, the memories forged during CRSA 2017 will forever remain etched in our hearts. The road show was not just about art; it was a celebration of diversity, unity, and the profound beauty that lies within the landscapes and people of Pakistan. Until we meet again on another canvas, my gratitude and love to all who made this journey unforgettable.
